Getting Started with GiftVeri: From Version Check to Your First Gift Card

Open GiftVeri, confirm the brand and region for an Apple, Target or other gift card, and check one gift card on FREE. The website account controls the software plan; the brand account checks that gift card.

Check which client version you have

To check a gift card, open GiftVeri, confirm the brand and region, then check that one card on FREE. The website explains which fields to enter and how to read the result; the check runs in the Windows client. If the program has no “Platform sign-in”, check the version on the download page first. See the download page for the current stable release and release notes.

Confirm the release scope on the download and release status page. The current stable Windows release is public and needs no GitHub access. Download, file verification and pre-update preparation are covered in the download and update guide.

Confirm the brand and region

Check the brand’s current status on the brand pages. If you are unsure how store gift cards, Visa or Mastercard prepaid cards and purchase regions differ, read the brand, card type and region guide first. For Apple, continue to the region directory and choose a region from your purchase details. “To be confirmed” in the directory means there are not yet enough public verification records, so no successful check can be promised.

  • Confirm the card brand and purchase region first, not just the displayed currency.
  • Only check cards you own or are clearly authorized to check.
  • On first use, confirm the flow with one card before preparing a batch.

Tell the two sign-ins apart

Your GiftVeri website account controls the software plan. Sign in to the client with the same email: FREE checks one card, and an active PRO plan adds batch import, stop and resume, and export.

Apple or other brand accounts are used for that brand’s flow and are managed separately in the client. Signing in to GiftVeri does not sign you in to Apple, and switching platform accounts does not change a card’s region. See platform sign-in and authorization for details.

Initialize, then check a single card

On the Apple check page, choose the country, your own account and a proxy, then explicitly initialize sign-in. Once the current region shows as ready, enter one card and submit the check. Other brands may use their own site verification steps; follow that brand’s interface and current notes.

If you hit sign-in, verification or connection errors, stop, keep the message on screen and check the current status. Do not read a missing amount as a zero balance, and do not resubmit the same card to guess the result. To locate the problem stage by stage, use the troubleshooting guide.

Read the result and choose the next step

Read a balance by its actual amount and currency only when the business response explicitly returns an amount. Failed checks, unknown results and explicit business statuses are handled separately; see the results guide.

After the single-card flow works, prepare tasks with the batch guide. The check flow never activates, redeems or reloads cards; how exported files are stored is covered in sessions and data storage.
