A non-empty status means the card already holds data, so GiftVeri continues the balance query and returns the balance and other details the brand sends. The check is read-only and does not affect later reloading of the card.

Scope
For US Ulta Beauty gift cards you own or are authorized to use. The current development build accepts a 16-digit numeric card number and 8-digit numeric PIN and shows only explicit dollar amounts. This field range comes from development records and does not mean every card type is verified. Rewards points, credit card accounts, other regions and promotional vouchers should not be assumed to be supported; the workflow does not activate, reload, redeem or check out.

The development build requires a 16-digit numeric card number and 8-digit numeric PIN; do not enter member numbers, credit card numbers or coupon codes. Find the original card or email

Open the Ulta Beauty US single-card page
Confirm your development build has the entry, the card brand and US scope are correct, and you lawfully hold the card. Platform sign-in and plan permissions cannot replace site verification or live-card verification.
Check the card number, PIN and connection settings
Enter the 16-digit numeric card number and 8-digit numeric PIN and check the selected connection profile. If the fields are incomplete or the format does not match, stop and verify; do not pad, truncate or reshape other credentials into a gift card format.
Confirm the separate official balance form
The development workflow opens a temporary Edge session; confirm the Check balance area on Ulta Beauty’s US page. Do not go into Buy now, checkout or any account changes.
Control the check and site verification yourself
Click Check balance yourself and complete any verification Ulta requires. The workflow handles one matching check only, does not solve CAPTCHAs or retry automatically, and stops if the page or session changes instead of widening its scope.
Read this run’s explicit amount and status
Only a clearly recognized dollar balance from this run counts. Unknown formats, business errors, other page content or access failures are never shown as a zero balance and do not show the card is invalid.
Finish and clear this session
After completing, cancelling or closing, the entry and temporary session are cleared; the card number, PIN and site session are never exported. Cancelling cannot recall a request already sent; keep unconfirmed results and do not resubmit immediately.

Reading the result
Real amounts still need comparison
The amount display has passed local simulation checks, but Ulta’s real balance response is still unconfirmed. An openable page, finished verification or passing tests is not evidence that a real balance was obtained.
Unknown, failure and zero are separate
Access verification, timeouts, denials, rate limits, business errors or unknown amounts keep their specific status; they are never rewritten as zero, never reuse the last successful amount and do not automatically mark a card invalid.
When you cannot confirm online

Paid at checkout, and a page still asks you to activate
Ulta says a card bought in its stores or from an authorized seller is already active when it is paid for. If a page still asks you to activate, separate an e-gift card from a physical card that has to be scratched, then call the number on the card. That sentence is for Ulta only.
GiftVeri shows the balance, a failure, and an unknown result separately. A $0 result counts only when this run returned that amount. If this gift card may not be activated yet, every brand uses the same pre-activation check: an empty pre-query status means the card is not activated or not enabled, and GiftVeri does not send the balance query.
FAQ
Can I check Ulta Beauty Rewards points or credit card balances?
No. This page covers only the gift card single-card workflow; rewards points and credit card accounts are out of scope. Similar-looking fields cannot be mixed, and a gift card amount says nothing about points or credit limits.
Where is the PIN for a physical or e-gift card?

Do I need to activate the gift card in the client before checking?
No activation is part of this workflow, and the client offers none. Is entering the card at Buy now or checkout also a balance check?

Have e-gift cards, promotional cards and other regions all been tested?
No. Ulta describing physical and e-gift cards does not mean the development build has tested each card type; other regions and promotional vouchers cannot be assumed to be supported either. No real card was submitted in this round.
What if the site asks me to sign in, shows a CAPTCHA or an error page?
Check the site and the page’s purpose first. The development build only connects to the confirmed US guest balance flow; any verification is completed by you, and nothing is bypassed or opened up. Whether the full session succeeds is still pending live-card verification.
Offline integration passed. Why doesn’t that count as a successful check?
Offline testing used a local simulated form and response, which only shows the development workflow can connect. Whether Ulta’s site accepts the client session, the real balance structure and amount comparison are still pending live-card verification.
Are batch import, reloading or exporting the PIN supported?
No. This page is a standalone single-card development workflow with no batch promise; it does not reload or redeem, and the full card number and PIN are never exported. Plan authorization does not change these limits.
Ulta’s page still asks me to activate. Does that mean it was not paid?
Ulta says the card is already active when it is paid for. If a page still asks for another activation, separate an e-gift card from a physical card that has to be scratched. That sentence is not for other brands.

The US Ulta Beauty single-card desktop entry, a separate official-site session and balance display are integrated in the development build and have passed local simulated testing; no real card balance has been obtained yet.
Live-card verification pending: the full site flow within the client session, current verification requirements, real balance responses and amount comparison are all unverified. A normal browser opening the empty form, program startup or passing offline tests cannot replace online verification.
