First confirm the card’s region
Check the purchase receipt, the card packaging or the store region chosen at purchase. A dollar amount alone does not prove a card is from the US, and the same currency does not mean regional entries are interchangeable. When confirming the region with the seller, keep the order and receipt, and never post the full card number on a public page.
Checking an Apple gift card and redeeming its value into an Apple Account are two different actions. GiftVeri’s current check flow is read-only and does not redeem. Apple’s redemption steps help explain how an account balance is formed, but clicking redeem should never be treated as a harmless check.
Choose the matching region in the client
Choose the country, account and proxy first, then explicitly initialize sign-in. The US and UK currently use this project’s existing entries; other regions in the country directory still have entries to be confirmed, and being listed does not mean check integration is complete.
- US cards use the US entry; the currency shown follows the actual business response.
- UK cards use the UK entry; GBP is shown when an actual amount is returned.
- Switching countries cancels the old country’s ready state and requires initializing again.
- Do not judge whether a gift card works across regions by switching the web page language.
How to read region-related feedback
Classify a result as a region mismatch only when Apple explicitly returns one. HTTP 541, sign-in failures, dropped connections or a missing amount should keep their original error or unknown status, and cannot be treated as a zero balance or already redeemed.
If the card's region is confirmed and the check still fails, note the selected region, client version and the error message without the gift card number. Check the session status after the check stops; there is no need to resubmit the same card repeatedly to guess the result.
The error names the German storefront

A denomination error is not "not activated"
