One Apple Gift Card from the United States is a FREE single-card check. When the region does not match, change the country in GiftVeri. The check reads the balance and leaves it on the card, so you do not have to redeem it into an Apple Account first.
For several Apple gift cards from the same region, PRO add batch import, stop and resume, and CSV export. A run that returns no amount stays failed or unknown instead of becoming zero. When a batch shows a balance on some gift cards and not activated on others, use PRO’s pre-activation check. On a gift card check for any supported brand, GiftVeri sends a pre-query to that brand official API and reads whether the card status in the response bytes is empty. An empty status means the card is not activated or not enabled, and GiftVeri does not send the balance query. A non-empty status means the card already holds data, so GiftVeri continues the balance query and returns the balance and other details the brand sends. The check is read-only and does not affect later reloading of the card.

This page is for Apple Gift Cards bought in the United States and priced in USD. Apple gift cards can only be used in the country or region where they were bought; the currency shown is only a hint, so go by your purchase details.
Before you check
Confirm the purchase region, not just the dollar sign
Check the order, receipt or the seller’s confirmation of the country of purchase. Decide whether you are checking a card or an account
If the card has not been redeemed, check the gift card balance; if it is already redeemed to your Apple Account, check the account balance instead. Apple Gift Card, App Store & iTunes and Apple Store Gift Card have different scopes. Choose the US, your own Apple Account and a proxy
On the Apple gift card page, choose the United States, then confirm the account and proxy settings. Read amounts in the context of the US region and USD; after changing region, account or proxy, check the initialization status again.
Explicitly initialize the US store session
Click initialize sign-in, complete any verification your account needs, and wait until the interface shows the selected region is ready. A successful platform sign-in, an opened window or successful initialization does not mean a card balance has been read.
Submit one card first and wait for an explicit result
Enter the card code in the format the interface shows, without pasting serial numbers, order numbers or notes. After submitting, wait for this result; do not click repeatedly or turn a failure into an automatic retry.
Check the amount, currency and details together
Read it as a balance only when an explicit USD amount is returned. If you see “—”, no result or an unknown status, keep that status; a completed request or HTTP 200 does not show the card has been used.
Confirm single-card results before building a batch
Organize tasks by the US region, and after stopping, check which rows are processed and which are pending. In the platform-integrated development build, batch and export need an active PRO plan; do not automatically resubmit cards that were sent with an unclear result.

Reading the result
An explicit USD amount
Read it with this run’s amount, currency and the specific business message. Even a zero amount does not, by itself, tell you the card’s history.
No amount or unknown status
Keep the “—” and the specific message. A finished request, a successful sign-in or HTTP 200 cannot stand in for a real balance.
Sign-in failure, 541 or connection errors
Check which stage failed and whether the card was submitted, and keep the task record. These errors cannot be classed as invalid, inactive or zero balance.
FAQ
The US entry returned “no result”. Does that mean the card was used?
No. The current US verification itself saw requests complete without an amount or explicit business status. Keep the original message and the unknown result; only an actual business response can support a conclusion about the card.
Should every card with a dollar amount use the US region?
Do not choose a region from the currency symbol alone. Check the order or confirm the country with the seller; Apple’s redemption limits are by country or region of purchase. Can I redeem a card that failed to check, then look at the account balance?
Redeeming moves the funds and should not be used as a retry. Use the account balance instructions only when the card is already redeemed to your own account and you want the account balance. A US batch stopped at 541. Should I just click continue?
First check whether this card was submitted, what the interface recorded and the session status. 541 is not a zero balance or an invalid card. Keep unsent tasks, confirm initialization, then choose the next step explicitly; do not automatically resend cards with unclear results.
What if Apple explicitly says the card is not activated?
Apple’s redemption troubleshooting suggests checking activation with the store that sold the card. Keep the receipt and follow the actual message. PRO pre-activation check uses the same rule for every brand: only an empty card status in the official pre-query marks the card as not activated or not enabled, and GiftVeri does not send the balance query. Sign-in failures, connection errors or unknown responses are not that empty status. The code is scratched, or I got an “invalid” message. How do I check?
Confirm the card type and what you entered, and tell the code apart from the serial number. Check the phone balance channel for US cards, the rule that a card can only be tied to a US account, and the statements that lost or stolen cards are not replaced and that resale is restricted.
Verification and release status
Existing US verification records confirm sign-in, form preparation and the check request flow. The request for the designated test card completed, but no explicit amount or confirmable card status was obtained.
Records of stopping and resuming a US batch verified task selection and that completed rows are not reprocessed; later cards hit 541 and a full batch of balance reads was not completed. This does not support a claim that US card balance checks fully pass.
